Educational Programs

Educational programs in radiography are generally two to four year programs, depending on program design, objectives, and the degree or certificate awarded. The curriculum of an accredited program includes an extensive component of technical and professional courses, including an emphasis on structured competency-based clinical education.

An educational program will include subjects such as anatomy, biology, radiation safety, and physics. You’ll learn to use computers to acquire and manipulate images, and you’ll work with some of the most technologically advanced equipment in the medical field. But you’ll also learn to communicate with patients, to solve problems, and to work with other members of the health care team. You will develop skills that allow you to provide patient care that is accurate as well as compassionate.

Contact a particular program for information on specific courses and prerequisites.
