MHA Scholars Program:
2005-2006 Winners

MHA congratulates the 14 hospital employees who have been selected to receive
scholarships of $2,500 each from the 2005 BD-MHA Hospital Scholars Program.
BD Diagnostic Systems and the Maryland Hospital Association teamed up to form
the BD-MHA Hospital Scholars Program — scholarships to Maryland residents who
are preparing for careers in health care professions. Over 80 applications were
reviewed by a multidisciplinary panel of judges representing the health professions
as well as hospital administrators and professional schools. To be eligible for the
scholars program, students must:

    in life sciences, nursing, or allied health, and be within one to two years
    of completing educational requirements;
  • have a GPA of 3.0 or higher for pre-requisite courses, or be certified
