Kids Into Health Careers
Bureau of Health Professions (BHPr)
Health Resources and Services Administration,
U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
Includes visual aids, talking points, and sample presentations prepared for the targeted groups. The aim is the same for each group - to impress upon educators (school counselors, teachers, administrators), students in grades 6-12 and K-5, and their families that health care jobs are available and attainable. The four-fold message of this site is: There are job opportunities in the health care field; qualifying for them is an achievable and rewarding goal; financial aid is available; and, health care work fills a critical need in many medically underserved communities where primarily minority and disadvantaged people are not getting the health care they need.
