2007 MHA Scholars Program

MHA congratulates the 17 hospital employees who have been selected to receive
scholarships of $2,500 each from the 2007 MHA Hospital Scholars Program. Care First,
PRIME, The Chesapeake Registry, and the Maryland Hospital Association teamed up
to form the MHA Hospital Scholars Program — scholarships to Maryland residents who are preparing for careers in health care professions. Many applications were reviewed by a multidisciplinary panel of judges representing the health professions as well as hospital administrators and professional schools. Ten students seeking undergraduate degrees in nursing, three students seeking master’s degrees in nursing, one student seeking a doctoral degree in nursing, two students seeking associate’s degrees in allied health, and one student seeking a bachelor’s degree in allied health will each receive a scholarship.
